We have started the month of May with radiant sunshine in practically the entire country. The time has come to enjoy temperatures that invite us to go out, longer days and a period that is expected to be fruitful for the hospitality sector.
It's time to change the menu - if you haven't already -, incorporate seasonal products, lighter and more refreshing dishes, tasty new items... Even change the format and material of the menu, there are many possibilities as we have already told you in other articles.
May, time for terraces
If you are lucky enough to have an outdoor terrace , you know that you are guaranteed a good number of customers, but don't stop there, try to differentiate yourself from the rest in some way, for example, extending the WhatsApp Number Database decoration inside to the tables outside. It is always more appealing to sit in a nice place with a pleasant atmosphere than on the typical advertising chairs that make your terrace look like the one in the restaurant opposite . Put some flowers in a small vase on each table, a candle or cushions on the chairs to make them more comfortable.
If you are one of those people who do not have space on the street to put even a couple of tables, you will have to come up with ways to make people prefer to be inside your business than on the terrace next door . Create a more relaxed area with furniture that simulates a garden, but inside, play with the lights and ambient music, you can even incorporate small electric water fountains.
In addition to the decoration, you can offer a discount, prepare a special, lighter menu to be enjoyed in this area... But remember that you have to know how to announce what is inside with original signs on the door that invite people to come in, creating a bit of mystery with what they will find inside. Of course, this must also be promoted through the restaurant's social networks.
This is the month of communions and also the starting shot of the wedding season . Even if your establishment does not offer these services, the guests who travel will take advantage of the opportunity to enjoy the gastronomy and do some sightseeing in the city in question, so be alert and do not miss the opportunity to sign up new clients.
In the calendar below you have a few excuses to do something special and different in your restaurant during this month of May. Use a holiday to make a special menu, a typical dish of this date, such as oxtail in Madrid, organize the week of the tapa or some days of a certain product -the week of the asparagus- . Do not forget the charitable actions , this month you have several causes for which to raise funds -Hepatitis, Fibromyalgia...-, speak with the Associations of these diseases and with the relevant Institutions to seek their support.
